Learning objectives:

Learn about the "art" of note taking and how to take notes without interfering with the message converter role Lourdes L Cerna, CMI, is a Spanish interpreter and trainer with more than 30 years' of healthcare interpreting experience. She has worked as a staff interpreter in person in both private and county hospitals and clinics, a freelancer covering workers' compensation assignments, and as an over-the-phone and video remote interpreter.
Ms. Cerna has also taught medical interpreting at several colleges and currently teaches a 40-hour training curriculum for an agency.
Ms. Cerna is a native of Guatemala.
She is a member of the Board of Directors for the California Healthcare Interpreting Association.
