Hotel Accommodations & Travel
This year's conference venue is the Crowne Plaza San Diego - Mission Valley, 2270 Hotel Cir N, San Diego, CA 92108. Discounted block room rates are available. The venue is located in an area called "Hotel Circle," a convenience for attendees who wish to seek accommodations outside of the conference venue. Click here for details.
San Diego is easily accessible by car from California, Nevada, Arizona and Mexico from I-5/I-405, I-15 and I-8. The nearest airport is the San Diego International Airport. San Diego is also served by Amtrak (train), Greyhound (bus) and Metrolink (train/bus). Click here for details.
The 20th Annual Educational Conference will feature an exciting lineup of presenters from across the country! Highlights include 5 interactive workshops, 30 breakout sessions, 10 poster presentations, dedicated time to visit Sponsors & Exhibitors, a Friday evening networking reception, our non-stop dance party, the CHIA awards ceremony, and our signature closing ceremony raffle.
NEW THIS YEAR: Attendees will be able to access the entire conference schedule, CEUs, presentation descriptions, speaker bios and more using a mobile app on their smartphone or tablet!
CCHI has approved 37 sessions for continuing education credit, including 4 sessions for performance-based credit. This means you can earn up to 10 CEUs from CCHI.
IMIA/NBCMI has approved 31 sessions for continuing education credit. This means you can earn up to 8 CEUs from IMIA/NBCMI.
CEUs from CIMCE, RID and WA-DSHS are pending.

Workshops and breakout sessions: Most attendees choose "business casual" for this event. We recommend comfortable shoes for moving from one session to another.

Please allow CHIA at least 2 weeks notice prior to the event date to coordinate any accommodations for disabilities. Note that the conference venue also should be notified of any necessary accommodations.
If you have special dietary needs, you will be able to indicate them upon conference check-in. CHIA will then communicate these needs to the hotel. The hotel is experienced at accommodating vegan, gluten-free, kosher, hilal, etc.
